Buck is a 3-year-old, 90+ pound Boxer with a huge heart ❤️ and an even bigger personality. 🐶 He's searching for an experienced, large-breed owner who understands that structure, consistency, and leadership are the keys to helping him thrive.
Buck's story is heartbreaking. His previous owner listed him for free on Facebook because they were moving and couldn't take him. Thankfully, Coastal Boxer Rescue stepped in to give him the chance he deserves.

• High-energy and loves to stay active
• 🐔Food allergy to chicken
• 🛏 Crate trained
• 🚽 Potty trained
• 🍽 Eats well
• 🦮 Walks nicely on leash
• 🐱 Has lived with cats
• ⚠️ Dog selective (may do best as an only dog or with the right female companion)
• Best with older children due to his size and enthusiasm

🤩Buck has been working with a professional trainer & has made great progress, but he needs a home that will continue what he's learned. 🙌He is incredibly smart and responds well to clear boundaries. Buck needs an owner who can recognize when he's becoming overstimulated and redirect him before he escalates.
🐾He knows how to settle with a simple "sit" command, but he cannot be allowed to make his own decisions or have free rein of the house while adjusting to a new home. He needs several weeks of consistent structure and routine to be successful.
🐶☝️Buck is not looking for sympathy—he's looking for someone who will confidently lead him and help him be the amazing dog we know he can be. He doesn't need you to feel sorry and baby him he NEEDS someone to lift him up and build his confidence.
👉Because of his reactivity toward some male dogs, Buck would do best as an only dog or with a carefully matched female companion.
🐈While he has done well around cats in the past, slow introductions are always recommended.
