Resources For Owners2021-04-22T19:49:21-04:00
Are you considering rehoming your boxer on your own?2021-07-28T09:00:04-04:00

PLEASE do not list your Boxer for free on Craigslist, Facebook or any other platform.  Do not just give away your boxer to someone you do not know.  There are people who actually look for free dogs to be used for horrible things such as bait dogs in fighting groups, lab research, overbreeding, sell for profit and to abuse.  Typically, people looking for animals to abuse won’t be willing to pay a fee for your boxer. BE AWARE…People can put on a good act and seem like great people until you look further.

*A home visit should always be done with any potential adopter to help ensure the safety for your boxer. Your boxer should also be spayed or neutered before being placed in a new home.

Reputable rescues like ourselves, require home checks, reference checks, identification verification, and much more in order for any interested party to take ownership of a dog. You should too, if you decide to rehome your boxer on your own.  There are many local rescues that can help rehome your boxer safely.

Is your boxer considered an Emotional Support Animal?2021-07-28T09:02:26-04:00

The Fair Housing Act is a federal law that makes it illegal for housing providers to refuse a reasonable accommodation that a person with a disability needs to have equal opportunity to enjoy and use a dwelling. Many individuals with mental health-related disabilities, including depression, anxiety, PTSD and phobias, have Emotional Support Animals that provide comfort and relief from symptoms of their condition. In order to qualify an animal companion as an ESA, the owner must obtain a recommendation letter from a licensed health care professional (LHCP).

Here are some links that provide more information on emotional support animals and the FHA rules and guidelines.  Be sure to conduct your own research further for any recent, up to date provisions.
