Meet Dutch aka Copper, a handsome 3-year old boxer boy who’s looking for a fresh start!
Dutch came to CBR, after spending time surviving on the streets, he’s discovering just how wonderful home life can be 🏠🦴
He’s a sweet, affectionate pup who loves nothing more than lounging on the couch 🛋️, soaking up attention, and giving everyone he meets lots of kisses 😘🐶 His happy tail never stops wagging (sometimes so enthusiastically that it needs to be monitored! 😂) and he’s known for his adorable boxer spins, when he’s excited.
Dutch is:
🎾 Playful and energetic
🏡 House trained
✅ Crate trained
🦮 Walks great on leash
❤️ Loves his people
🐶 Has done well with the other female pup in the home and enjoys playful, respectful interactions
💙 No resource guarding observed in his current foster home
🐿️ Enjoys chasing squirrels and would do best in a cat-free home. 🐱🚫
He’s happiest in a calm, predictable environment. While he has done well with children initially, he has shown that he becomes uncomfortable after extended interaction and communicates that he needs space. Because of this, we’re looking for a home with adults only or family with older, pup-savvy children (teens) who will respect his boundaries and help him continue to decompress and build confidence.
This boy has come a long way from life on the streets and deserves a family willing to see the amazing pup he is. With the right home, he’ll make a loyal, loving companion.
